About Syndicate of Kurdistan Pharmacists

The syndicate was established by law No. 8 (1999) of the syndicate of Kurdistan pharmacists in accordance to parliament regulation No. 30 (4 November 1991) to be an independent foundation. The syndicate takes care of pharmacists’ affairs and the pharmacist profession in Kurdistan Region-Iraq and works to achieve the goals and objectives of the law it has been established by. It participates in improving human health care through the pharmacist profession and by working with other health care professions to build a good health care system to serve the citizens of the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

Our aim at SKPI is to promote high standards in pharmaceutical product production, quality assurance and preparation of compound medicinal prescriptions, pharmaceutical and other appropriate products. 

To cultivate and maintain co-operative relations with governmental departments, regulatory agencies, medical, pharmaceutical, bio-pharmaceutical and related health organisations, the academic community and compendial bodies and other branches of the pharmaceutical and other pertinent industries. 

And to originate and participate in co-operative enterprises and undertakings with them. To encourage the education and training of personnel in the fields of Pharmaceutical, bio-pharmaceutical technology and pharmaceutical services in hospital.

OUR MISSION

As the voice of pharmacy, the SKPI leads the profession and equips members for their role as the medication expert in team-based, patient-centered care. SKPI achieves its mission by advancing pharmacists’ optimal roles in team-based, patient-centered care.

OUR VISION

To provide safe, high quality patient care in an atmosphere of professionalism, respect, and effective communication. SKPI is committed to patient care; being an integral member of the healthcare team responsible for the outcomes associated with the medication use process.
